“We first saw Dancehall Days at the Gemini in LO on Halloween last year. Besides every band member being dressed to the nines in cereal character costumes (that made us like them already), they were incredible and SO fun. We hired them to do our wedding on May 28, 2016 out at Camp Namanu. First off, working with Colby was a total breeze. Then, and I’m not kidding, people told us it was the best wedding they had been to in part (but mostly) due to this band. It was an absolute blast! We gave them a list of some of our favorites from their song list and they also read the crowd and picked on their own and the result was perfection. Our dance floor was full the entire time and our guests were so into the band. After the two female vocalists broke out into a rap and dance moves for Motown Philly, our guests were chanting “That was awe-some!” At some point, our wedding turned into a concert and it was phenomenal. It was so cool to see our guests into it but it was equally as cool to see how into our party the band was. Seriously best money we spent on the wedding!”
“Dancehall days played at our wedding last Saturday. Besides us, the band was the biggest hit of the night. They are amazing musicians and really seem to enjoy playing with one another. The dance floor was never empty and they read the crowd really well. Working with them was such a true pleasure.
We booked and spoke with Colby the most. He was very responsive, flexible, and professional. When there was an electrical glitch, he and the band were quick and calm in fixing the glitch. When we asked the band how they felt about the night, they said they enjoyed playing with each other no matter what, but that it was a lot of fun to see so many guests dancing and letting loose.
The two lead vocalists are absolutely AMAZING! During our first dance, there’s footage of me pausing with my groom to swoon to the music. They knocked it out of the park.
Lots of guests seemed interested in booking them, and I believe a few are in talks already. They are phenomenal. Best decision we made in our wedding preparations. You will not regret booking Dancehall Days!”
Hiring Dancehall Days was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding. They are amazingly talented, know how to read the crowd and give them what they want, very professional and incredibly responsive (so much so that I started to wonder if Colby responded to emails mid-performance since I couldn’t understand how else we was so consistently able to respond to my questions within about 30 seconds—he didn’t :)). We had them play during cocktail hour and were nervous about it being too loud and interrupting conversation/making people feel like they should be attending to the band rather just mingling, but it was perfect—created ambiance without being at all distracting. For the dance sets, the volume and music selection was perfect, and they even indulged a request of mine to sing a song with them. By the last set (the first set people were a little distracted by pie/the view of Mt. Hood at sunset), the dance-floor was packed with younger and older guests alike (in fact, only 2 guests opted to take the early shuttle home and I credit them for that!). Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how awesome they were, asking how we found them, etc., and we agreed.

If you want fun energy and a band who is in sync with vocalists you can really belt out the tunes and hit all the notes, Dancehall Days is the ONLY band in town you should consider for playing your event! They played at our wedding, and we had so much fun groovin' to their covers of classic songs from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and current pop songs. In fact, we received rave reviews from several of our guests about how the band can really belt it! In fact our niece who is a singer herself at age 12, was completely captured by the vocalists' voices and fashion sense (she couldn't stop staring at the "stylish twins"). On top of it all, they were easy to work with, learned a couple songs we specifically requested, and brought PA equipment that we could use during our ceremony. We HIGHLY recommend Dancehall Days!

Dancehall Days are some of the most experienced, professional, and talented musicians in Portland. I’ve worked with them at events in the past and knew they were the best choice for my wedding. Just check out their song list on their website - that’s all you need to know. These people can play just about anything and they sound amazing. They were flexible and accommodating, they showed up on time, and most importantly, they had everyone up and dancing immediately.
The cherry on top for me was that the band was already booked the night of our wedding when we contacted them. They arranged to come play our wedding immediately following their other gig. And they provided a DJ for background music during dinner at no expense to us.
All of our guests were amazed by the band. If I were to ever plan another wedding, Dancehall Days would be my immediate first call.

Dancehall Days Band is the band you need at your wedding!
They played at our wedding at the Four Seasons in Seattle and crushed it! I looked forever to find a talented band, with high quality singers, a big songlist, lots of energy, and would keep my guests on the dancefloor all night. I was looking at every band in Seattle, and couldn't find anyone that fit what we wanted, so expanded my search to Portland and I am so glad I did! Colby and the band were extremely professional, responsive, and so talented! When it came to organizing the band's travel to Seattle, it was so easy and affordable. My guests danced all night long and they couldn't believe the vocal range this band had. My husband's family is full of musicians and even they were all impressed with the band's work! If you are a Seattle bride, definitely hire Dancehall Days Band!

Really could not say enough about this band. One of the easiest and best decisions we made for the wedding. Extremely easy to book/correspond with, reasonably priced and stayed late, and very helpful with all of the details and super quick responses. They are a highlight that many of our guests remember and talk about. I would book them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to all my friends. So much energy, so fun!! One of my lovely (drunk) friends even got up at the end of the night and took the mic to sing Brick House... and they were so great about letting that happen, even though it was probably not ideal, ha. WOW. We are music lovers through and through and live music is always a priority for us. We knew the band would be really important at our wedding, but even after booking Dancehall Days with good knowledge that they were awesome we had no idea what we were in for. They traveled from Portland, OR to McCall ID for our wedding and threw down for one of the biggest dance parties anyone can remember! To this day when someone mentions our wedding, they start with the band and their good memories about how well Dancehall Days fueled an all night dance party in the middle of an open field in the Idaho mountains. DHD absolutely crushed it - we had 250 guests at our wedding from all over the world, and everyone still raves about how great our band was, 4 years later! Even the venue, Brasada Ranch, wanted to book them independently after our wedding. We cannot say enough positive about the whole band. A live band just brings a different energy to the wedding day, and Dancehall Days, for that matter, then brings an additional energy and an additional rocking feel that will bring anyone to the dance floor. They have songs to bring the grandparents, the aunts and uncles, the cousins, and the pop-lovers out to dance. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience and can’t thank Dancehall Days enough for keeping our party dancing all night long. They were incredibly easy to work with before the wedding, they came and helped with audio before their sets started, and when the sets started, no body wanted to leave.
